UFOs Are Real!

leave a comment »

Well folks, let the conspiracy theory begin. According to the former Canadian Minister of Defence, “UFOs, are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head.” I kid you not! “The United States military are preparing weapons which could be used against the aliens, and they could get us into an intergalactic war without us ever having any warning… The Bush administration has finally agreed to let the military build a forward base on the moon, which will put them in a better position to keep track of the goings and comings of the visitors from space, and to shoot at them, if they so decide.” Yeah, these are the words of the former Canadian Minister of Defence! I tell you what, sooner or later we’ll realize that X-File was not just a TV show. It was in fact a replay of the past captured in HD and beamed back from the not too distant future by the remaining of the human race whom are the sole survivors of the 2006 Intergalactic Alien War that had doomed mankind for its preemptive counter military measure led by President Bush. Yup, this one you heard it here first. Yes, make no mistake about it. We’ll die. War of The Worlds style. Either that or our Canadian neighbors are a bunch of nut jobs… Here to read more.

I stand corrected, this is my favorite paper (art?) work. Take a look at the movie; the damn thing actually runs! Also, check out some of the other works by the artist. Pretty neat.

Parent’s Dream

leave a comment »

They say it’s our human nature to wish upon our children to become better persons than we are, to become what we wished we were, to become what we can’t be. I think in many ways this saying has a lot of truth to it. Maybe not always to become a great engineer or succeeding a 5th generation family business, but we always want our kids to be us, and more…

To some extend, this line of thoughts is quite dangerous. It’s nothing more than a bunch of excuses and lies we make up to cover up our own failures; our failures as human beings; our failures to fulfilling our potentials. Maybe instead of hoping things would be different (for our kids) if we (or they) had this and that, we really ought to be thinking: this is where we want/need to be; now, how do we get there using the best of our abilities? I say no more to hoping for the best later, no more to entangling our children to become someone we’ve failed to be. We need to be what we can’t be. We need to wake up one day and be able to say to ourselves proudly, “Wow, I’ve had the most wonderful dream of my life…”

My life, my dream, my path. Not my children’s.

XBox 360, My Love

leave a comment »

I love XBox 360. But what I LOVE even more is XBox 360 on my crystal clear Dell 24 inch LCD.  I think the day I get one to run on a 70-incher is the day I’d go to heaven…
